CAPÍTULO 81 - Coordenadas trampa
A bordo de la nave tolkiena, un hipnotizado Haragosa le entrega a Zien Reis una carta de navegación almacenada en un cilal. El-Jormaz descubre que está programada para separar módulos de la nave y dejarlos orbitando el planeta e invierte esa programación. Luego expone su plan, deben separarse, él irá a Laris en la lanzadera del Octavo Anillo, mientras que Juan y Bien reis alcanzarán Sima Xamira en el Sexto Anillo.

El marciano ha reconocido a El-Jormaz y se dispone a abandonar el planeta. Sin embargo una fecha de fuego sale del Desfiladero y destruye sus Anillos.
Atrapados en Laris, Moona y Sikarra invierten su tiempo en acrecentar su odio. Moona le ordena a Sikarra que vaya al edificio de la aduana a buscar una de sus polveras.

El-Jormaz la agarra por la muñeca y la besa, ella es el profetizado “enemigo de su Destino”. En ese momento el fango que cubre la explanada se incendia con llamas verdiazuladas, destruyéndolo todo.
Tusitala narra como su propio corazón deja de latir.

Y el Universo entero se duerme por un instante.

CHAPTER 81 - Trap Coordinates
On board the Tolkienan ship, a hypnotized Haragosa gives Zien Reis a navigation chart stored in a cilal. El-Jormaz discovers that it is programmed to separate the modules from the ship and leave them orbiting the planet and inverts that programming. Then he exposes his plan, they must separate, he will go to Laris on the shuttle of the Eighth Ring, while Juan and Bien reis will reach Sima Xamira in the Sixth Ring.

Los tres regresan a Siritinga en una nave tranvía, la última con destino al planeta.

El-Jormaz está abatido, y siente que ha perdido su última batalla, pero Juan le promete que él estará a su lado para ganarla.

Saben del viaje que Ban Taur y Haragosa pretenden hacer a Laris, y en el camino sobrevolarán la Gran Baarnaal.

Después se reúne con su socio Ban Taur, que se muestra suspicaz ante este nuevo séquito y le ordena entregar la carta de ruta en una de las secciones de la nave, mientras él se aloja en otra. Una vez todos están embarcados en la Gran Duna de Arenas se desmorona, destruyendo la ciudad.

El-Jormaz is dejected, and feels that he has lost his last battle, but Juan promises that he will be by his side to win it.

Moona wakes up covered in bandages in her rooms in Laris, Sikarra is kneeling by her bed and informs her that SaucoGrís is sinking in the swampy land that surrounds it. Moona reproaches him that it was he who poisoned Garza, by order of Tanom.
In Gelis Juan, El-Jormaz and Zien Reis cross the frozen wasteland looking for Tula, without success. Suddenly they hear a noise in the distance, El-Jormaz recognizes him with familiarity, it is an army.

Años atrás, Tana consideró a su sensible hermana una vergüenza para su familia y le dio un puesto remoto como encargada de las minas de hielo del sol de Gelis. En aquella época Monatir le suplicó a Tana que permitiese Garza regresar a Siritinga, pero aparentemente ésta se suicidó antes de regresar. Tana cree Garza conoció a El-Jormaz, durante su estancia en Gelis y que se quitó la vida por amor. Monatir no cree en las afirmaciones de Tana y la discusión pronto degenera en una violenta pelea.

The balloon in which Juan, Tula and the mute monk travel is stopped by the Alcotán Guard, which forces them to dock in the Jazna Nests.
Tula receives a telepathic message from the monk to bark as if she were rabid, preventing the guards from inspecting the cellar of the globe where she and Juan hide.

El-Jormaz tiene una pesadilla en la que recuerda la profecía que le hizo el Oráculo de Kransis en su juventud. Del viento Lar, “que la mariposa morirá a la sombra del dragón”. Del viento Sar, “que la sangre derramada por el cometa hará temblar tu propia sangre”. Del viento Mar, “que el gigante entregará su magia al niño y en ello cumplirá su destino”. Y del viento Zar, “que cuando todo esto se cumpla, verás la cara del enemigo de tu destino y lo amarás”. Al despertarse habla con el monje mudo, que fue quien lo acompañó al Oráculo, años atrás. El monje abandona la abadía para ir al rescate de Juan y Tula, a bordo de un destartalado globo.

Mientras en su celda de la abadía militar del Decanato de Treval Sorj, El-Jormaz graba un cilal cifrado para Ban Taur, solicitando un informe completo de la situación política actual y recordándole que le debe su posición actual a su apoyo. Ban Taur es un marciano de Irala, un no nativo de Siritinga, y su ascenso al rango sátrapa fue una violación del protocolo burocrático tradicional.
En ese momento Monatir y Sikarra entran en la celda, pero El-Jormaz logra ocultar su cilal. El-Jormaz le reprocha a Sikarra que ocultase a Tanom en lugar de matarlo, pero el sátrapa eunuco le recuerda que su orden exacta fue “hacerlo desaparecer”, y eso hizo. Monatir y Sikarra le hacen ver a El-Jormaz que su situación actual no es muy distinta a la Tanom, y que lo mantendrán oculto mientras deciden que hacer con el.
Juan y Tula son rescatados por el monje, siguiendo las instrucciones de El-Jormaz.

[El serial no lo explica, pero creo que esto es el fruto de la magia del monje mudo, que es capaz de acceder a su mente] Después d ella visión, Ban Taur empieza a dictar un nuevo cilal para Sikarra, donde le informa de su comunicación con El-Jormaz.

En ese momento los excrementos de una de las golondrinas dorada que vuelan sobre la abadía, manchan el hábito de El-Jormaz, que no puede contener una carcajada.
Mientras tanto, Juan y Tula continúan su viaje de regreso a Arenas, y Tana se lamenta de vuelta en su exilio en Sima Sina.

El-Jormaz has a nightmare in which he remembers the prophecy made by the Oracle of Kransis in his youth. BriesBrenan smells the scent of BriesDraco and his hounds, and knows that his brother is hunting them. Juan asks him to drive him to the oldest mill around, since it is the place where he could use his magic and save their lives. Before arriving at the mill, BriesBrenan decides to stay to distract his brother and give Juan and Tula time. Once in the mill Juan invokes a flood that drowns the mastindogos and the two feral locked in a fight to the death.
